Step 1

Choose your hardware

Match the exact model name before buying. Similar-looking sizes and variants are not interchangeable with the current firmware.

On a small screen, swipe the table sideways to compare all displays.

Power and battery safety

Always verify the voltage, connector, polarity and board revision yourself against the manufacturer’s current documentation before connecting power or a battery. HOMEsmthng cannot guarantee that the hardware information in this guide is complete or error-free.
Use a regulated 5 V USB supply. Its amp rating is available capacity; the display draws only what it needs.
For flashing, use a USB-C cable that carries data, not a charge-only cable.
Use only a protected single-cell 3.7 V LiPo on boards with a documented battery input.
Check connector polarity every time. A matching plug shape does not guarantee matching + and − wiring.
Keep the battery away from heat and sharp edges, and never use a swollen or damaged cell.
Do not overtighten enclosure screws; printed plastic and display boards can crack.

Step 2

Install HOMEsmthng

Use desktop Chrome or Edge, the exact display selection and a USB data cable.

Connect the display
Plug it directly into your computer and close any serial monitor using the port.

Choose the exact model
Select Update to keep settings, or Install / Reinstall to erase the display completely.

Flash and restart
Wait for “Finished”, then unplug and reconnect the USB cable once to restart.

Join 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi
Follow the first-setup information on the display, then pair HOMEsmthng with Apple Home.

Use the display

Tap controls directly and swipe between the switch, B1, clock and settings pages.

Step 4

Configure the Web UI

Open the local address shown on the display from a device on the same network. Changes are saved on the display; no cloud account is required.
