HOMEsmthng turns supported ESP32-S3 display boards into a customizable HomeKit smart switch dashboard.

Choose one of three supported round displays, add the enclosure and power option that fit your build, then install the firmware from a desktop browser. No programming required.

Step 1

Choose your hardware

Match the exact model name before buying. Similar-looking sizes and variants are not interchangeable with the current firmware.

Step 2

Install HOMEsmthng

Use desktop Chrome or Edge, the exact display selection and a USB data cable.

    Connect the display

    Plug it directly into your computer and close any serial monitor using the port.

  2. 2
    Choose the exact model

    Select Update to keep settings, or Install / Reinstall to erase the display completely.

    Flash and restart

    Wait for “Finished”, then unplug and reconnect the USB cable once to restart.

    Join 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi

    Follow the first-setup information on the display, then pair HOMEsmthng with Apple Home.

Use the display

Tap controls directly and swipe between the switch, B1, clock and settings pages.

Step 4

Configure the Web UI

Open the local address shown on the display from a device on the same network. Changes are saved on the display; no cloud account is required.
